1954 Ford F800 Big Job fire truck! Originally unit number one for the Springfield Fire Department. It features a Cargo King V8 engine, and a five-speed transmission. The odometer reads 12,973 miles, suggesting limited use. The truck starts and runs smoothly, with working sirens. This vehicle served actively from 1954 to 1986 before being retired and used as a parade truck until 2000. From 2000 to 2026, it was privately owned and stored indoors, preserving much of its original state. The truck remains unrestored, with many original parts intact, including its lighting, ladders, and control panels. There is a battery shut off switch down on the passenger side footwell.
