Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1960 Chevrolet Impala two-door hardtop for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. This Impala was acquired by the current owner 17 years ago. The Impala name was first used for the full-sized 1956 General Motors Motorama show car that bore Corvette-like design cues, especially the grille. It was named Impala after the graceful African antelope, which was used as the car's logo.

The cabin features bench seating upholstered in red and white cloth and vinyl, and a matching color scheme extends to the door panels. Interior appointments include front seat belts, polished dashboard trim, manual-crank windows, an AM radio, and quarter-vent windows. The two-spoke steering wheel features a semicircular chrome horn ring and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, a warning light cluster, and additional gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 44,250 original miles.

The car left the factory finished in Ermine White (936A) and had a repaint in its lifetime. Equipment includes quad headlights, chrome bumpers, dual antennas, horizontal tail fins, separate taillights, fender skirts and bright trim. 14” Impala hub cap wheels are mounted to Milestar Touring wheels, 215/70R14 with DOT 2020. The car is equipped with power steering and braking is provided by power-assisted front and rear drum brakes.

The 283ci V8 engine features a single barrel carburetor and a single-snorkel air cleaner assembly. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
