According to Toyota, "A corolla is the ring of petals around the central part of a flower.  The name was intended to evoke image of beautifully styled, eye-catching compact car."  Here we have featured a beautiful 1977 Toyota Corolla KE36LV-KRC 1200 Standard shown in the original Toyota 336 Red exterior with grey vinyl upholstery and charcoal colored carpets.  Originally built at the Takaoka, Japan Toyota plant and delivered to Linköping, Sweden.  The Corolla then moved to Poland where it stayed until being imported to the United States in early 2021.  The original purchase documentation is included with the sale and dated April 5, 1978.  Vehicle will be sold with clean and clear South Carolina title.  Excellent all around physical and mechanical condition.  



The third generation Corolla van was released on 4/26/1974 and stayed in production until August of 1979.  This Corolla features the 4-speed manual transmission which was standard equipment in the 1200 model although High Deluxe and Deluxe models were the first Toyota vans available with the optional 3-speed automatic.  Maximum payload is approximately 400kgs (882lbs) with 2 passengers and 200kgs (441lbs) with 5 passengers over the rigid leaf spring rear suspension.  Toyota upgraded the safety features by using elastic sheet material on the instrument cluster and self-retracting 3-point seatbelts.  Weighing in at only 840kgs (1851lbs), the 95 HP Inline-4 moves the vehicle with ease and fuel efficiency.
